Common use
Griseofulvin is an antifungal medication used to treat skin, hair, and nail infections caused by dermatophytes, such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, and jock itch. It works by inhibiting fungal cell division and binding to keratin, making new skin and hair resistant to infection. It is not effective against yeast infections or bacterial infections. Store griseofulvin at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep the medication in a tightly sealed container out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date. Dispose of any unused tablets safely.
