Common use
Voriconazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal medication used to treat serious fungal infections such as invasive aspergillosis, candidemia, and certain resistant fungal strains. Voriconazole works by inhibiting fungal cell membrane formation, effectively stopping the growth of fungi.

Dosage and direction
Take Voriconazole orally or via IV exactly as prescribed, typically every 12 hours. It should be taken on an empty stomach—at least one hour before or one hour after meals—for best absorption.

Precautions
Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, heart rhythm problems, or vision issues. Regular liver function and vision monitoring may be required during treatment.

Contraindications
Do not use Voriconazole if you are allergic to Voriconazole or are taking certain medications such as rifampin, carbamazepine, or ergot alkaloids, due to potentially dangerous interactions.

Missed dose

Storage
Store Voriconazole tablets at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and do not use expired medication.
